The Museums.

National Archaeological Museum ranks among the top ten museums in the world. The amazing collection of antiquities are housed in a beautiful neoclassic building near the juncture of Alexandras Avenue on Patission Avenue. There is a gift shop, and a cafe in the sculpture garden. Children under 6 and EU students get in free.
The museum is a five minute walk from Victoria Station and a 10 minute walk from Omonia.

Benaki Museum
This reputable private Museum containa a huge collection of finds from Prehistoric down to early twentieth century Greece. , This is simultaneously an Archaeological, Byzantine and Folk Culture Museum. The café-restaurant extends to the roof-terrace and offers fabulous vistas of the Acropolis and Lycabettus Hill.

Byzantine and Christian Museum

Set in a beautiful building, surrounded by a courtyard which you can have a relaxing walk around. The Museum houses a collection of Byzantine and post- Byzantine icons and frescoes. A gift shop is available.

Epigraphical Museum. This Museum houses the leading collection of ancient Greek inscriptions and it 's the largest museum of its kind in the world.

Goulandris Museum of Cycladic and Ancient Greek Art

This small Museum contains collections of Cycladic art as well as a smaller selection of Bronze Age, Minoan, Mycenaean, Geometric, Archaic, Classical and Hellenistic items.

National Historical Museum.
Tells the story of Greece since the fall of the Byzantine Empire in 1453, with special attention drawn to the War of Independence (1821-1829).

The Stoa of Attalos:

Inside you will find artefacts from the Agora. On the upper level you will find miniature models of how the Acropolis and Agora looked in ancient days gone by. From the main gate you have access to the Agora archaeological site just under the north slope of Acropolis.
